Instructor: Emily Danchik & Pete Adelman
Learn the fundamentals of reed-and-paper lantern making while creating your own illuminated star lantern. Students will learn how to shape and connect reed frames, attach lighting, and cover their lantern with cloth and paper before adding their own creative finishing touches. This year's project is a star, what kind of star is entirely up to you!
No experience is necessary. All materials are provided.

Registration
Thanks to support from 4Culture, these advanced workshops are offered free of charge, with instructor fees and materials covered. These workshops are designed to help participants build new skills while creating artwork that we hope will be used in Fremont Arts Council events.
To help ensure every seat is used, we ask participants to reserve their spot with a $50 refundable commitment deposit, which is fully refunded when you attend.
If the deposit would be a financial barrier, simply choose our Community Access Registration option. No explanation is needed.
We'll send an attendance confirmation 48 hours before the workshop. If we don't receive a confirmation, your spot may be offered to someone on the waitlist.
If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else can attend. Participants with repeated no-shows without advance notice may lose access to future workshops.
Thank you for helping us make these workshops accessible, successful, and beneficial to our entire community!
