Wing Making Workshop (with reclaimed materials!)

Wing Making Workshop (2 hrs)

If you would like to make wings for your Solstice costume or for future events, we'll learn a technique for creating wings with feathers made of reclaimed plastic bags that ruffle beautifully in the wind or with movement. We’ll look at two ways to build wearable wing bases for the feathers, one more elaborate and one simplified version.

Please bring the following materials if possible (we will provide the other supplies needed for this technique):

• Lots of plastic shopping bags, or any plastic bag including garbage bags
• 1.5 Yards Fabric (old sheets work well)
