This weekend is the time to gather up all your Solstice Parade Dreams, carry them to the Powerhouse, and get started! Join us at the Powerhouse (our workshop at 3940 Fremont Ave N) Saturday and/or Sunday from noon-9 PM.

Find out how you can fit into Parade Preparations Fun:

Present or listen to project ideas, and recruit for or join a parade ensemble!
Support other artists as a "Crafty Creative" (DIY folks and makers, this is for you!) or one of "The Offcuts" (carpenters, we need you too!)
Sign up for parade skills workshops, or offer to teach a parade skills workshop
Join the Workshop Hosts ("Greet Fleet")!
Become a Parade Monitor ("Monitor Lizard")!
Learn more about the Parade Ushers ("Glitter Guides")!
Learn about and sign up for other volunteer groups that pique your interest!
And more - just ask!

There'll be workshops going on you can join in or watch!

Anytime either day: make Petit Troll Floats and Umbrellas (friendly to all ages; children require parental supervision, please).
Saturday 2-4 PM: build reed structures w/ Sarah Lovett (18+)
Sunday 2-4 PM: batik fabric dyeing w/ Denise Henrikson (18+)

There'll also be a work party!

On Saturday at 2pm, help set up fencing and canopies to keep our floats and artists dry and comfy.

Bring family & friends and snacks. RSVPs help so we know how many people to expect. See you soon!
