The Fremont Arts Council is powered by volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers to help make community art thrive. If you are interested, please register here and let us know your interests and skills!

Volunteer for an Event:

Help is always needed on the day of the Fremont Solstice Parade, Luminata, Powerhouse art workshops and other FAC events. You can also help to plan and organize these events; or provide artistic and other support.

Organizational Support

Could you help with administrative tasks, with our website (SquareSpace), membership management software (Wild Apricot), or support the Powerhouse in some way? There are lots of ways to help.

- Program and Events: Plan, manage & produce artful celebrations as a gift to our community. Events include the Fremont Solstice Parade and Celebration, Luminata, Trolloween, Petit Troll, and May Day. Plan and host art workshops and events year round at the Powerhouse.

- Development and Outreach: Help to secure funding to sustain the FAC and its programs. Assist with evaluating our fundraising and outreach materials, including posts and messages for website and social media.

Photograph the 2026 Fremont Solstice Parade (20 Jun 2026)

Hi Solstice Photographers!

Registration is now open for photographers of the Fremont Solstice Parade. This year for the first time we are reserving 5 positions for short form video. If you sign up for videographer you may send us still photos also, but we require at least 30 minutes of video, details in the link.

Please: Register for either photographer or videographer! You may do both, but pick your primary form for registering.

The parade will start Saturday, June 20st at 1:00. The parade path map is the same as last year and is or will be soon on our web site here https://fremontartscouncil.org/parade. Note that the parade ends in the Fremont Market area. We will park the floats on Evanston Street for the rest of the afternoon.

If you have photographed the parade in the past, you're good to go and simply need to pick up your press pass on Parade Day between 11AM and 12:30PM at the Parade registration table.

If you have not previously photographed the parade, you will need to attend a training at the Powerhouse on June 14th (the Saturday before the parade) from 9 AM - 10 AM to be able to pick up your press pass.

Please review this document for more details on how to photo/video the parade, and how to be invited back in future years. If you are granted a press pass we will email you the photographer agreement.
